The fact that production for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is taking place partially in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is making big waves in the community.
A local news source did some poking around to find out details about production plans for the films, and they learned that the scenes being shot in Louisiana will indeed be indoors and that it is being considered very beneficial to the local economy.
“What you’ll see is much like what ‘Steel Magnolias’ did for Natchitoches . . . People go to Natchitoches to this day to see the house in ‘Steel Magnolias,'” reports WBRZ. Given the fact that Twilight fans are famed for traveling to Forks, La Push, Portland, Vancouver, and even to Italy to see the Twilight sights, this is probably at least a little true.
Specific details were, of course, unavailable, but the station’s news clip shows a bit of what’s being said around town about the production.
