Robert Pattinson has just won the 2010 MTV Movie Awards for “Best Male Performance” for his work in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and “Global Superstar”!

In his acceptance speech, Pattinson thanked Catherine Hardwicke, noting that he owed her “a lot,” “everything” as a matter of fact, as well as New Moon director Chris Weitz, his parents, and co-star Kristen Stewart – who he referred to as the “lynchpin of the whole series.”

For the “Best Male Performance” award, Pattinson beat out co-star Taylor Lautner as well as Channing Tatum (Dear John), Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince), and Zac Efron (17 Again).

For “Global Superstar,” Pattinson beat out Lautner, Stewart, Radcliffe, and Johnny Depp.
