Are Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart finished with Twilight?
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have filmed movies for three of the four best selling Twilight Saga books penned by beloved author Stephenie Meyer. With “Breaking Dawn,” the fourth and final installment of Twilight, representing the last vampire flick in the saga for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, some are wondering if the hottest on-screen couple in Hollywood today is eager to move beyond Twilight.
That question lingers in response to the news that Stephenie Meyer is preparing to release a follow-up to the Twilight series called “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella.”
Even in the absence of many details about the project, countless Twilight fans are hoping the novella will be made into yet another epic big screen adventure. But would Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart be up for another tour of duty as Edward and Bella?
As with countless actors of generations past, there comes a point when performers want to “move on” from the recurring roles that made them famous. Whether its Sean Connery leaving James Bond or, eventually, Robert Pattinson wanting to leave Edward Cullen, Twilight fans are being urged by some to brace for the possibility of a time when Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will no longer readily welcome a Twilight connection.
Of course, the opposite may also be true. In fact, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have claimed such ownership of the characters Edward Cullen and Bella Swan that both stars may embrace opportunities to participate in any forthcoming sequels or prequels that Stephenie Meyer may have in the works.
If “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella” is ultimately adapted for the silver screen, should Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart resume their beloved roles for the project? Please leave your thoughts and comments below.
